I have worked with Don for 4 years on City Council. I have come to see him as a person who can look into the face of issues and properly understand the extent of the problem. Add this to his practical career background as a manager over large processes allows him to evaluate and understand these sensitive challenges.

During Don's term he has been exposed to some of Sandy's toughest, most complex issues. This is a time when pulling an experienced and effective Councilor off the job would create critical inconsistencies and might handicap the city in dealing with these complex decisions.

Finally, I have been impressed by his determination, professionalism and desire to make Sandy better. This is a key personality trait where emotion and personal agendas would pull the city from the best course.

I highly support Don Hokanson for another 4 year term for position 6 City Council.

My wife Stacy and I have known Don Hokanson & his wife, Jeannine, for over 20 years. One of the things we love most about Don is that he has always cared deeply about his family & his community.

He's very intelligent and organized and has impeccable integrity.  One of his greatest traits is that he genuinely cares and studies issues very carefully and is not easily swayed by conservative or liberal politics.  He's humble but pursues and advocates for that which makes good sense for our families and our community and makes good sense financially.

We wholeheartedly endorse & support this selfless man in his tireless pursuit of making our community of Sandy a beautiful, clean & safe haven for all and get it done in a fiscally sound & responsible manner.
